Attempt to curb unbridled technocentricity
However you can, "beware the ring frodo". Subvert the dominant paradigm, even if it stings your own ass. "Absolute power corrupts absultutely" remember?wonderosity's attempt:
The Story
I've always struggled with both a love of technology, and a concern about its way too often ignored adverse effects...its really been painful at times, and thus my blog 'Geeking Out Loud: The tech reviews, tips and struggles of a neo-luddite technophile." That blog (www.geekingoutloud.com) is one recent attempt, but the main one was a research paper that compared Tolkien's magic to our technology (few know that his myth was largely a critique of industrialism).
You can read the paper here
I'd change much, but it was a good start to my thinking and many people have read it online and enjoyed it.
