Have a near death experience

pretty self explanitory. get real close to meeting your maker. physical encounters more has gotta be worth more points. drug over doses not acceptable.

The Story

i was cruising down the ohhanahpicosh (however it's spelled) river near mt. rainer with a bunch of friends, we were all pre twenty or so. it was our third, low water, class five, steep drop heavy river that day. we were all tired and couldn't really produce any more adrenaline. we stopped getting out to look at every drop hours ago, reling instead in our faithful intetpretations of a buddy's description. timbe told me this next drop had a little log just over the lip, dropping to the left, but he saw tao hit it fine and just slide down. paddle hard into middle, boof left, slide down the log. i missed. i held on the log for a minute or two while my friends decided what to do. my boat began to bend from the force of the water on my boat. we all knew we needed to do something right away before i was physicaly trapped in my boat. because my head had now been slowly pulled under the water fall, tao and i yelled into eachother ears to collaberate on a plan. on the count of three everybody would force me and my boat under the log and pray i emerge untrapped on the other side. with a heave we push me under the log. i miss any woody snares and float to the surface to a triumphant hand roll and relieved cheers.
