There are many regional Burning Man style events, such as Dark Skies, Toast, Flipside, Fuego de Los Muertos, and Xara. These are great ways to meet other burners and are a ton of fun

The Story

I was asked to play with a band at Flipside 2004 in Austin. In exchange, I was offered a ticket to the event. The theme was Glitter Monkey Rodeo. I slept in a chair at Camp Hippy Crack.
