The Story

It was after I cut my hair short due to hair loss following a long bout of Cushing's Disease.  I was going in for (and then recovering from) brain surgery and figured I might as well be colorful!

Cushing's Disease is when a pituitary tumor produces massive amounts of ACTH, a hormone that stimulates cortisol production. Excess cortisol causes all sorts of problems and can eventually kill you. One of my tests had me at over 150x normal levels! « reply
