The Story

We had a mouse problem and personally I was sick of it.  Finally I asked the landlord if I could get the kids a cat for Christmas (duh) and he said yes.  Then I posted a note at the pub where I worked at the time stating, "Want Cat, with claws, kid tolerant, indoor/outdoor that will lbe happy living with us" or something to that effect.  Amazing.  A customer forwarded the information to her friend.  Her friend called me from the pediatrics unit where she was currently residing (as a traveling nurse).  Apparently Cinco (Seis's bro) had been run over and Seis was on his own.  His current owner and I talked several times and then she made the trek out to where we live, with cat, with litter box (which he doesn't use anymore because he just miaows at the door), a pet carrier, and a months worth of food.

The only reason I even bother posting on this particular challlenge tonight is that we have had Seis ("Diony-seis") for two years now.  The kids and I decided that his birthday is St. Patrick's day--which means that he is now, unoffically, officially, seven years old.  Today, he came up to me when I was feeling blue and purred up a storm.  WE love this cat.  :)
