Be present at a death

My father died last April. He refused to give up his independance letting me move him to a nursing home even though he was very ill. He also would not move in with me. We struggled with his care and his pain with the help of an amazing hospice program. He finally got to the point where he could not be left alone. 3 hours before the cabulance was scheduled to transport him to the home, he died. He died in his sleep. He died exactly how he wanted, at home with his familiy with him. I love you and miss you Dad.
