A hula hoop of fire in the hands of dancer Qathi Hart represents the sun in a winter-solstice celebration at sunset yesterday around the International Fountain at Seattle Center. Performers marked the solstice, which actually occurs Tuesday, with a spectacle of song, dance and fire.
