Win a music award

I didn't contribute a great deal to this song ... mainly the chord progression that supports the bridge and the guitar solo. Still, I enjoyed the time I spent with Default, and I came away with a great deal of respect for the band's work ethic, their camaraderie, and their dedication to making music. As a past member of the board of directors of SOCAN (Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers of Canada), one of my more pleasurable duties was presenting awards to Canadian songwriters, including Nickelback, Avril Lavigne, Swollen Members and Default. A small reception followed the Default presentation, and at one point someone suggested we try writing together. It finally happened in February 2003.
